I meet you at a location that is convenient for you – your business or home office, or your favorite local coffee shop. There, we meet for 60 – 90 minutes to share the basic information toward getting to know each other as well as for me learn about some of the challenges you face. This initial meeting allows me to do the preliminary consideration of the solutions may be needed. Though I see many similar themes and problem areas across businesses, the solutions we provide are unique and specific to your personality and the culture of your business. Maybe you will see my "idea bubbles" appear as I listen to you!
By the end of our first meeting, I have told you to take time to think about working with me. Some client prospects benefit from seeing a written summary where I write about what we have discussed, what I see as some of the first problems we can address. I prepare this document and usually forward it within two days of our meeting. But, what is more common, prospective clients decide to use my services even before this introductory meeting ends. There are occasional times that I feel I may not be the right person for the situation. In those cases, I connect you to other people that might be able to help you. I never leave an initial meeting without having tried to help you.
Some clients want to meet with me once a week, every two weeks, or monthly. Some clients have graduated to bi-monthly and quarterly meetings. We leave each meeting knowing which tasks I might be doing for your business and which tasks you hope to accomplish before the next meeting. I put no pressure on your accomplishing your tasks - unless you ask me to.
Together, we will decide what changes to work on first. And, you will determine what part(s) of goal accomplishment I should work on, you should work on, or your employee(s) will work on.
Don't worry about that! I work on that too. After all, I have the gift of being able to create 36 hour days!
